Enterprise

Week commecning 12/10/09

The Enterprise children had a very special visitor in school on Wednesday.

Our school business supports a charity in Tanzania. All proceeds from the cards we make goes towards helping a small village school. The principal of the school Mr. Samson Unwheater was in England and he came to meet our children and say thank you for their support. He told them all about the village school and explained the children start school at 6.30am and during the day would take a break from lessons to walk 2km to collect water. We gave Mr Unwheater a photograph of our school and the Enterprise children to take back to his village.

Week commencing 15/6/09

On the 17th June, the Enterprise children attended an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel. They set up a display table to show the other schools and judges what their Enterprise scheme was all about. St. Nicholas did extremely well and came out with four awards. We won best Enterprise team, best stand, runner up for best Customer Service and runner up for Social Enterprise. Congratulations to all the children and staff involved in making the Enterprise business such a great success in its first year.
