Dave finds old objects in the ground. Sometimes he finds bones from people who died a long time ago. Most of the time he finds old pottery. We spent some time looking at broken pieces of pots that Dave and his friends have found. Dave told us that when you are digging you have to do it slowly and carefully; you cannot use big machines in case you damage the object or bones. A few of us think we would like to be an archaeologist when we grow up! (Including Mrs Fox and Mrs Wyrill!).
