Welcome

Welcome to our Web-Site.

Raynville Primary School is an inclusive school.  This means that we welcome all children and their families.  We believe that all our families with their diverse cultures, languages, special needs and heritage make our school a lively place where everyone can succeed and enjoy learning.

We hold a number of awards for our work including: Activemark, Investors in People,      Inclusion Chartermark, Advanced Healthy Schools award, Artsmark Gold, Stephen Lawrence Award, Basic Skills Quality Mark, and the International Award.

We are a leading school for SEAL (social and emotional learning).

The following is an extract from our OFSTED report, dated March 2008.

"This is a good school that offers outstanding pastoral care and support for pupils and their families.  The outstanding partnerships fostered beyond school make a significant contribution to the high quality of education on offer.  A very strong sense of belonging to, and contributing to, the school and local community is at the very heart of the school, along with a determination to raise pupils' aspirations for a brighter future.  As a result, pupils achieve well and make good gains in their personal development.  They are happy, feel safe, and are very aware of how keep healthy.  Pupils' good personal development helps them to grow in confidence and mature into responsible young adults, well prepared for secondary education.

Parents and carers think very highly ot the school.  'One hundred percent support is offered to help both me and my children,' typifies their appreciation of the school's work"

We are proud of our positive and friendly ethos.

These are our school aims:

We want everyone:

  • to learn as much as they can
  • to want to come to school and have fun here
  • to be included in all we do
  • to be encouraged and rewarded
  • to be treated well
  • to be as healthy as they can be
