Events

This year our fundraising efforts will be concentrated on assisting the people of East Timor. Father Pat has a long standing iinvolvement with charity work in this region and we will be holding various events, throughout the year, to support this cause.

Our first fundraiser this year was Book Day. The children were asked to come to school dressed as a bedtime book character and enjoyed a day of book themed events. The event was a big success and raised over £130 for our East Timor Appeal.

As part of our commitment to the Healthy Schools Standard we have made milk available to all children in our school. Every morning Children in Key Stage 2 have the opportunity to buy milk for 20p. We highlighted the importance of a calcium rich diet with a whole-school assembly. During the assembly a special guest paid us a visit - Charlotte the Cow! The children really enjoyed this visit and found out why calcium is such an important part of their diet.
